While lizards sunbathe
On sun-drenched logs,
Frigate birds soar high,
Palm trees sway
To and fro,
While puffs of clouds
Float by...
Hues of blues and greens
Adorn the sea
Till the full moon
Gives rise
To silver sands
Evenings' romance
Caye Caulker ~ What island paradise!
(poem by: Diane Auxillou)

About Caye Caulker, Belize
Caye Caulker is a naturally pristine island, with a population of approximately 1500 inhabitants. This beautiful, English-speaking Caribbean island, just off the coast of Belize, Central America is Belize's second largest inhabited island.
Caye Caulker consciously and very carefully paces its growth. It offers visitors an excellent balance between development and amenities in a peaceful, uncrowded, unpretentious, island environment.
It is not a resort island. Nor is it primarily a backpacker's haven, as previously dubbed. Today, it offers accommodations ranging from camping & European-style hostels, to up-scale, luxury suites all on an undiscriminating beach.
Walking in bare-feet is still the favoured mode of transportation on the island, as this provides a more intimate experience for visitors and locals alike. A number of bicycle and golf cart rentals are also available on the island, for those who prefer wheels.
Caye Caulker is an ideal destination for those who want to get away from it all and still get to do all the great, fun things Belize has to offer.
Surrounded by seemingly endless Caribbean Sea....fishing, snorkeling, SCUBA diving, windsurfing, sailing, kayaking, swimming and sunbathing are at your fingertips, all in a relaxing, hassle-free environment. Visits to the Mayan Ruins, Belize Zoo, Cave Tubing, or other mainland attractions can also be easily arranged. In short, this four-mile long sliver of island is by far one of Belize's most precious jewels.
Come share our little piece of untouched paradise with us! Just remember to 'go slow'.
...unlock your dreams!
